Care for Yourself and Your Students in Trying Times

We know there’s a lot going on in the world and the stresses of life are affecting us all. Our Second Step SEL for Adults Resilience During Crisis Module is here to help. This prototype learning resource is designed to help teachers and school leaders strengthen their own resilience in the face of extreme stress as well as recognize the signs of students in need of support. Participation is free, voluntary, and open to all who sign up.

Once you log in, you’ll have access to three learning units—Self-Care, Caring for Each Other, and Student Care—as well as supplemental student activities adaptable for virtual delivery. Use our how-to guide to get started.

In this module, you’ll learn:

  • What resilience is, and how to nurture it daily
  • How to support and empower colleagues under stress
  • Strategies and activities to support students after a crisis

This prototype module is just one part of our upcoming professional learning program, Second Step SEL for Adults, which will be released in 2021. Your feedback during this field test is a valuable part of the development process of this new program. Stay tuned for more updates and information.
